At Pivotal Readiness LLC we offer a three tiered pistol certification. Once you complete all three certifications, you will receive 20% off all future classes. Each class will be scheduled on a bi-monthly basis. Check out the certifications below!
Courses
This course is designed to provide critical skills in situational awareness, active shooter response, firearm familiarization, de-escalation tactics, and proper use of force. Using dry fire training and training props, participants will develop the knowledge and confidence needed to assess threats and respond effectively in high-stress situations.
For Ages 13 & UP
Course Includes:
Situational Awareness Training – Learn how to identify potential threats and enhance personal safety in everyday environments.
Active Shooter Response – Understand response strategies, including escape, evasion, and defensive actions.
Firearms Familiarization – Hands-on dry fire exercises and training props to build confidence in firearm handling and mechanics.
De-escalation Tactics – Learn how to defuse confrontations and avoid unnecessary use of force.
Proper Use of Force – Understand legal and ethical considerations, ensuring responsible decision-making in defensive situations.
Washington State Laws (RCWs) – Education on self-defense, firearms laws, and legal responsibilities.
Class Materials – A PowerPoint presentation and handout covering all key concepts for continued learning.
Skill & Knowledge Assessment – A before-and-after evaluation to measure participants’ initial understanding and track their improvement throughout the course.
This course is ideal for individuals, families, and organizations seeking practical, real-world training in personal safety and defense. No live firearms or ammunition will be used.

By enrolling in and attending the Situational Awareness & Firearms Familiarization Course provided by Pivotal Readiness, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding safety, liability, and personal responsibility:

1. Safety Guidelines
This class is designed as a non-live fire training course utilizing dry fire drills and training props—no live firearms or ammunition will be used.
Participants must follow all instructor directions at all times to ensure a safe and controlled learning environment.
Any unsafe behavior, reckless actions, or failure to adhere to safety protocols may result in immediate removal from the class without a refund.
No personal training tools, firearms, or simulated weapons are allowed in class. All training equipment will be provided by Pivotal Readiness to ensure consistency and safety.

2. Assumption of Risk
While all reasonable precautions are taken to ensure participant safety, you understand that any training related to situational awareness, defensive tactics, and firearm handling carries inherent risks.
You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participating in this course, including but not limited to physical exertion, simulated threat response exercises, and instructional drills.

3. Liability Waiver
By participating in this course, you release, waive, and discharge Pivotal Readiness, its instructors, affiliates, and hosting facility from any and all liability for personal injury, property damage, or other losses that may occur during or as a result of the training.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pivotal Readiness and its representatives from any claims, demands, or legal actions arising from your participation in the course.

4. Legal Compliance
This course includes an educational component covering Washington State RCWs (Revised Code of Washington) related to self-defense and firearm laws. However, this information is not legal advice, and participants are encouraged to seek legal counsel for specific concerns.
Participants must be legally permitted to handle training firearms under local, state, and federal law. If you are prohibited from firearm possession, you must disclose this information before the class begins.

5. Parental Consent & Minor Participation (Ages 13-17)
Minors ages 13 and older may attend this course with a parent or legal guardian present throughout the session.
A parent or legal guardian must sign this waiver on behalf of the minor and acknowledge full responsibility for the minor’s participation.
The parent/guardian understands that this course includes situational awareness training, defensive tactics, and firearm handling with training props, and they assume all associated risks on behalf of the minor.
6. Acknowledgment & Agreement
By registering for and attending this course, you certify that you have read, understand, and agree to this Safety & Liability Disclosure. You acknowledge that failure to comply with safety protocols may result in your removal from the class, and you accept full responsibility for your actions during training.

Train-the-Trainer: Range Safety Officer (RSO) Certification Course
